Ministry have unleashed a creepy video for “Victims of a Clown,” the latest offering from their album AmeriKKKant. The clip is relentless as the viewer is bombarded with images of the band performing in a creepy circus atmosphere complete with men in gas masks, physical reality bending, post-apocalyptic war images and more unsettling figures. Watch the clip above.

The video was produced and directed by Chris and Steve Roth, the same team that created the “Twilight Zone” video for Ministry and “I’m Invisible” for Al Jourgensen’s side project, Surgical Meth Machine.

It was shot with handheld cameras, giving a realistic and raw visual. The Roth brothers used rapid flash lighting and only three colors for the video: black, white, and red. The result is a powerful clip that is an assault to the senses.

The song itself is a dark and ominous track with the tone set by the bass work, as bits of sampled dialogue and scratching also factor into the overall sound. The driving guitar work also pushes the song forward.

Ministry kicked off their AmeriKKKant tour last month in Anaheim, Calif. Check out the setlist from the show and all their upcoming tour dates here.
