Lubbock police officers were called out Monday afternoon (May 7) for an accident between a Lubbock ISD school bus and another vehicle.

A Lubbock ISD school bus carrying elementary school students was traveling north on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near East 24th Street, when a minivan swerved to avoid hitting a prairie dog. The minivan hit the front of the bus, causing the bus to hit the curb.

No students or drivers were injured in the accident. Students were picked up by their parents, and the minivan was moved by a tow truck.
