The Amber Alert in Kansas for Noemi Velasquez has been cancelled.  However, a new Amber Alert for Velasquez has been issued for the State of Texas.

All information concerning Velasquez's disappearance remains the same from 12 hours ago.

The search for a missing 15 year-old girl from Nacogdoches County, in East Texas, has expanded to Lubbock.

15 year-old Noemi Velasquez was reported missing around 10 p.m. Monday night by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office.  She was last seen leaving school in Nacogdoches wearing a white blouse with blue jeans and black tennis shoes.  Velasquez is described as a Hispanic girl, about 5'3" in height with black hair and brown eyes.

Police state that she may have been abducted by Juan Fabian Arenas Delacruz, who has been named as a suspect in the girl's disappearance. Delacruz is described as a Hispanic man, 5'11" in height, with a weight of 170 pounds. He has some facial hair as shown in a photo provided by authorities.

The two were possibly traveling in a silver 2004 Volkswagon Passat with a Texas license plate of DF7T507.

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office tells KFYO News that a cell phone in possession of either Delacruz (pictured, right) or Velasquez was pinged in Lubbock on Tuesday night. The phone was pinged within the area of 19th Street and University Avenue at approximately 9:30pm.

Tuesday evening (February 25), the search for the two had centered in the state of Kansas. At some point after the disappearance the pair may have been traveling north along the Interstate 35 corridor in the Kansas City metro area, according to the Topeka Capital-Journal. An Amber Alert is still currently issued in Kansas for the pair.
