A visitor at an African animal sanctuary caught a snapshot of a monkey trying to catch a peek on one of his keepers.

The Sun published a shot of the candid moment at the Padrillus Drill Sanctuary in Nigeria taken by Cyril Ruoso.

The monkey’s actions might seem like a rude gesture but Ruoso told The Sun that the monkey was just trying to show his affection for his keeper.

Grooming or physical interaction is a way to show how close you are to another individual.

Of course, we say that this is the closest science has come to proving that mankind and monkeys share an evolutionary link until we find a photo of a monkey asking a zookeeper for her number.
