When it comes to the most popular fictional characters, Beavis and Butthead rule Texas.

Say it with me: A-huhhh huhh, huhh huhh.

The map above comes from the NSFW Playboy and is far from scientific. But it's fun to argue about.

Interestingly, I went to high school in South Texas with an individual who Mike Judge could have written the Butthead character about. And YES, he was/is totally Butthead! Mike did live in Texas for a spell and the stories of folks who may or may not have influenced Beavis & Butthead are cloudy at best.

According to Wikipedia, the Beavis and Butthead characters visited Wilson Middle School and attended Highland High School in the series, which are the names of schools in Albuquerque, Judge's hometown.

Why Beavis and Butthead rule Texas and not New Mexico is beyond me. Not surprisingly, Walter White from Breaking Bad rules New Mexico!

Other obvious state leaders include Dorthy in Oklahoma, Gilligan in Hawaii, Chili Willie in Alaska and Wile E. Coyote in Utah.

Check out the map and tell us if you agree!
