My Personal Birthday Bash Buffet Of Bands

I think the FMX Birthday bash is STRONG. There is certainly something for everybody and everybody is probably anticipating different bands.  My cross-section of bands involves a broad spectrum of rock, metal, rap and punk.

First off, I'm not dissing any bands. In fact, fans will tell you that Three Days Grace killed it the last time they were in Lubbock.  I'm just looking at it this way, there are certain bands that I look for just a little bit more than others.  So here goes.

I can't wait to see The Pretty Reckless. Some of you don't even realize how great the band Taylor Momsen assembled is. They are the real deal and she is the real deal. She didn't just pick up a bunch of Sunset Boulevard pretty boys, she got guys who play muscular, nuanced and skilled rock.  Next up, Hollywood Undead. The guys just put on a killer balls to the walls show that is real eye candy and big beats. Next up on my list is Hellyeah.  Yeah, I don't care how many times they've played here, the new songs "Moth" and "Hush" are just too great to miss (I hope they play at least one of them).  When I'm looking at my t-shirt money, one guy is getting that, and that is Doyle.  Doyle is a rare treat for Lubbock and it will PACK inside the Pavilion for his show. Closing out my list is Avatar. I could watch those guys over and over and over again.

So that's my list of "must-sees" for this show. I actually think it's going to be tight from beginning to end, but as a guy who's "seen it all", I can't wait to see this group of bands.
