It's been a long, cold offseason for NASCAR and it was simply awesome to hear the roar of engines again on TV. Multiple wrecks claimed multiple drivers' chances at winning Sprint's opening exhibition race Saturday night, but there was still some good racing to take in.

Matt Kenseth ended up winning the race, as he looked very strong throughout the event. Kenseth scored his first victory of the specific race in eight tries.

Martin Truex Jr., Carl Edwards, Casey Mears, and Kyle Larson, who's my early pick to be the thorn in everyone's side this year, rounded out the top five.

It didn't count, but it was still racing! The preseason festivities continue next week on Thursday, when the Budweiser Duels take place, then it's the granddaddy of them all, the Daytona 500 on Sunday, the 22nd.
