These days if you ask a kid who their hero's are most of them will give you the name of an athlete, or an actor, or maybe a singer. Unless of course a parent or family member is in one of the branches of the U.S Armed Forces, then they seem to have a better understanding of what a hero is.

One of the things that really makes me proud to be an American is realizing the conditions these men and women are living in and what they do day in and day out so that the rest of us can enjoy the freedoms we do, all while we are safe in our homes, going to movies, and concerts and living our lives like there isn't a war going on.

It amazes me to see the videos these men and women post on YouTube and Facebook of themselves having fun in a situation most of us wouldn't survive for even a week.

To all of you, again I say THANK YOU!!
