You know that girl you went to school with that came back from summer vacation and she was suddenly "hot"?  That girl is "Mandy Lane".  Mandy is played by Amber Heard.  The movie is incredibly well shot and well acted but it falls apart a little at the end.

This movie was actually done in 2006 but just now being released on pay per view because it was caught up in studio nonsense.  This is one of those movies where you pretty much know who the killer is all along, your suspicions are confirmed then bah, bah bahhhhhhhh!  Another twist is revealed.  That's my problem with the movie, although the twist is cool, it's never revealed "why" which means it was pretty much a twist for the sake of a twist and pretty much had nothing to do with the story.

Also cool in this movie is Anson Mount in a minor roll as the groundskeeper.  Midway through the flick I had to stop the movie and figure out who the heck that guy "was".  Well for those of you who don't recognize the name, Anson Mount is the guy who plays "Cullen Bohanon" on "Hell On Wheels" (remember, as I said, this movie was done in 2006 before he was famous).

As for the story, here's a simple outline:  A newly "hot" girl is invited to party at a ranch with the cool kids, then stuff starts going whack.

Two pieces of trivia for ya.  This movie was filmed in Bastrop, Texas and Robert Earl Keene ("The Road Goes On Forever And The Party Never Ends") has a cameo as a guy the gang steals beer from.

I give this movie four out of five Nightmares, mostly because it has a very "real" feeling to it.
