Longtime producer Jack Douglas describes the still untitled new Aerosmith record as "nasty, tough rock." According to Steven Tyler the band will spend another month in L.A. putting the finishing touches on their fourteenth studio album, that will feature the first original tunes since 2001's  "Just Push Play."

Aerosmith will embark on a South American tour and will also travel to Japan starting in October with dates that will continue through December of 2011. Aerosmith went with producer Jack Douglas, who produced the bands early records  "Get Your Wings", "Toys in the Attic" and "Rocks."
