New Deal To Play For State Championship

While everyone else around the Hub has pretty much packed it up for the year, the New Deal Lions football team will play for the State Championship.

New Deal is 14-0 and will play 15-0 Mason this Thursday. New Deal is currently ranked second and Mason is number one so there's no question that this is the best of the best in 2A squaring off. The matchup is Thursday at 11 a.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Most of my family are New Deal Lions and I live at the city limits near New Deal so you can imagine the kind of excitement everyone around here is feeling.

Let's everybody root for the green and gold this Thursday. We could have state champs right next door!
