New Superbowl Ad Brings Attention To Domestic Violence [VIDEO]

There are more clever ways to present this ad. The original title that brought it to my attention was "You won't forget the moment you realized what's happening in this chilling Superbowl commercial".  But I'm not here today to get web hits, I'm here to tell you ladies, or even guys to get help.

I took a quick visit to the Women's Protective Services site and picked up one quick fact-one in four women have been physically assaulted or raped by an intimate partner. For men it's one in fourteen.  These are national averages, but it's a safe bet Lubbock is somewhere close to average.

I don't even understand while someone would tolerate it more than once. I understand situations exist that may keep people from escaping domestic violence, but if you think it will EVER stop, you are wrong. A person that will hit you once, will hit you again and again. It will not get better.  I don't know why anyone would listen to me, but keep in mind I'm just echoing the experts.  Once again, it's not going to stop "when your partner gets older" or "if you behave" or any other "if". It WILL happen again. GET THE HELL OUT NOW.  Call Women's Protect Services at 747-6491.
