New names in new places highlighted Tuesday afternoon, as NFL free agency began with a bang. See where the biggest names thus far have landed around the league, and where some other names may end up.

Perhaps the biggest piece of news we’ve heard is the Dallas Cowboys letting nine-year defensive mainstay DeMarcus Ware go, mainly to free up cap room, but where could he go? Experts tend to think somewhere like Oakland, a team that has almost $60 million to work with, St. Louis, or maybe even somewhere like Tennessee, a team that truly needs a definitive defensive end.

Speaking of Oakland, the Raiders brought back running back Darren McFadden, though they let Rashad Jennings go, a young back that will almost certainly sign with the New York Giants. The Raiders also picked up offensive tackle Rodger Saffold.

The Cleveland Browns have made some early splashes, picking up a big name outside rusher in Karlos Dansby and safety Donte Whitner.

Miami added a key offensive need with the signing of tackle Branden Albert, as did Arizona as they brought in tackle Jared Veldheer.

Tampa Bay signed defensive end Michael Johnson and are very active with multiple good players, as they’ve made a huge start to their new football year.

The reigning AFC champion Denver Broncos signed hard-hitting safety T.J. Ward, as the Indianapolis Colts brought back Ahmad Bradshaw and Vontae Davis, as well as inking a deal with defensive lineman Arthur Jones.

The Tennessee Titans nabbed speedster Dexter McCluster from the Chiefs, as well as re-signing return man Leon Washington to a year-long deal. In that same division, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed offensive guard Zane Beadles and traded QB Blaine Gabbert to the 49er’s for a sixth-round draft pick coming later in May.

Obviously we have many, many more names out there and ready to be claimed by new teams, but time will tell where every new piece will land.
