Even if every player for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame had shown up to play for the BCS National Championship game in miniature "pope mobile's", it would have not been good enough to slow down the Alabama Crimson Tide.

There was not a lucky charm to be found at the end of the rainbow as Alabama rolled the not so Fighting Irish 42-14.

Alabama came out and punched the Irish right in the mouth, scoring early and often. The Crimson Tide rolled up over 500 yards of offense on the way to their third National Championship in the past four years.

With the victory, the SEC has now captured seven straight BCS Titles.

Now, let's get ready for those Texas Tech Red Raiders in 2013.
