Nothing More singer Jonny Hawkins isn't shy about getting personal -- something he proved to a packed house at Jake's Backroom in Lubbock Tuesday night.

Before playing Nothing More's latest single "Jenny," which is about Hawkins' younger sister's battle with bi-polar disorder, the singer talked about the purpose of the song and the novel way they're reaching out to fans in support of it.

"We just released the video for 'Jenny' and we're doing a campaign with that to help mental health and drug addiction rehabilitation," Hawkins told the Lubbock crowd. "I'm sure many of you have a Jenny in your life. A lot of times it helps just knowing there are other people dealing with the same s--- as you."

The band's pledge campaign to raise awareness gives away prizes to fans, including a backyard performance, Hawkins explained. You can learn more about that at Nothing More's official website.

Also rocking the Room of Doom at the show was Kilter, To Whom It May and Islander.
