Like many of you, I'm enjoying a three day weekend. So, how about I just bring you a nice threefer of news and commentary.

President Obama Addresses The Nation To Outline Strategy On ISIS

President Obama laid a wreath in honor of the victims of the Hiroshima bombing. Nutcases are losing their mind over it. I think it takes GIANT BRASS BALLS to walk into a place that you obliterated and say sorry folks died.  He didn't apologize, he just recognized the dead. That's just plain human decency. Let me also add that Japan has been our ally for quite some time now, and YES, the President has visited Pearl Harbor too.

Next, I thought I was turning into an animal hugger when a gorilla was shot and after a boy fell into it's enclosure. It turns out that tons of people are pissed. We have precious few gorillas and tons of neglectful parents with dumb kids. Sure, I don't think the Cincinnati Zoo should have watched the boy being pulled apart, but less lethal means should have been used.  Also, please note, in the USA Today story, there are three instances cited of kids falling into gorilla pits (at three different places). Maybe parents should leash their kids at the zoo.

Finally, I was set to write a story called "What The Hell Is Up With Clapp Park?".  Just before the holiday weekend human remains were found at the park. Now, a man was shot in an attempted robbery at the park. The story being told is that a man was shot after he refused to five a robber money.  Okay, it makes you want to say "what is going on in this world?" until you read that this happened at 2:30 a.m.   Let's just conclude this with, NO PARK is safe at 2:30 a.m.  You might as well put on a suit made of hamburger and get mad when dogs attack you.

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend everybody. Stay out of the crazy stuff.
