Seriously, do we have to go through this again? And am I the only one who has noticed that this kind of thing only happens in areas that aren't exactly "worldly"?

KCBD is reporting that O'Donnell ISD has been called out by the Freedom From Religion Foundation after the superintendent allowed the Ten Commandments to be painted on a school wall.

Now, who among you right now doesn't know that that is equivalent to sticking your face in a hornet's nest? Even if you stand with them, you know this was poo stirring of the highest order.

If my headline was "O'Donnell, Texas Violates U.S. Constitutional Law," some of you patriots would be pissed. Yet, around here, if you do it in the name of a certain religion, it's somehow okay. There is a clear separation of church and state as stated in the Constitution (editor's note: not written verbatim, but supported by Supreme Court cases.) It's the same document that gives you the right to bear arms. If you don't like these things, change them -- but for right now, they are the law.

Apparently, the superintendent not only allowed this to happen,  but she is giving tacit approval to the kids who have rallied to this "cause" by posting bible verses with sticky notes on the school wall and not disciplining the ones who tore the temporary cover off the display.

Let's look at this simply. No one can take away your faith. What is happening is that this superintendent is allowing these kids' education to be taken away -- first by allowing this to be a distraction, and second by putting the district in a position where it WILL BE SUED and will lose valuable education funds.

It's a completely unnecessary and pointless distraction that has been proven time and time again, in court, to be against the law. If the superintendent of the school wasn't smart enough to know this, then she should probably be replaced.
