KCBD reporter Patricia Janelle Cun Villacin (23) has been charged following an incident where she reportedly ran over a man's leg and left the scene.

KCBD reporter Patricia Janelle Cun Villacin was charged with third-degree felony count of failure to stop and render aid after she reportedly ran over a man's leg in one of the station's vehicles. A person who witnessed the accident reported the crime after taking down the vehicle's license plate number.

According to Lubbock Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Ray Mendoza, the accident happened Thursday, September 10 around 6.30 p.m. near South Loop 289 and Slide Road.

The victim, 24-year-old Taylor Hammond, was treated at Covenant Medical Center and released.

Villacin was arrested, but released after posting a $5,000 bond.

KCBD has yet to clarify if Villacin has been fired, though her bio has been removed from the TV station's website.
