Piñata Protest to Perform at Jakes Backroom August 3rd

Piñata Protest is one of those bands that once you've seen them perform live- you're a rabid fan for life. I ran to the merch booth the last time they played in Lubbock. They are just THAT electric, mesmerizing and fun. In short, they rock.

They'll be performing at Jake's Backroom (5025 50th St) August 3rd. You can tickets at brownpapertickets or head over to Ralph's (3322 82nd St).

Piñata Protest blends traditional Spanish music (including an accordion!) with punk and the result is an instant party at all of their live shows. This video captures their essence pretty well (NSFW if your boss knows Spanish cuss words):
