It's only happened twice in 30 years...the surviving members of Pink Floyd briefly reunited in London last night.

According to The Sun:

Drummer Nick Mason and guitarist David Gilmour joined Roger Waters for his solo concert rendition of the group's The Wall album at London's O2.

Gilmour performed Comfortably Numb with Waters, while Mason joined the pair on tambourine for the final song of the evening, Outside The Wall.

The group's two creative forces - Gilmour and Waters, became bitter enemies in the 1980s.

Waters' departure from the band in 1985 sparked a vicious legal battle between him and Gilmour over the use of the band name.

Waters eventually lost the legal fight allowing Gilmour to use it until 1996.

The show marked one of only two occasions the three surviving members of the group's most famous line-up have appeared onstage together since 1985.

But those hoping for a more permanent reunion will be left disappointed.

On his blog Waters stressed Gilmour's appearance was just a one-off.

Yesterday he wrote: "I should also remind you that tonight is most definitely a one-off. David is not repeating his special guest performance at a later occasion, I'm sorry to disappoint those of you with fingers crossed and tickets for later shows."
