P.O.D. killed it in Lubbock at the 34th annual FMX Birthday Bash, raging through the hit songs that earned them millions of fans. The band also played a new song for the thousands in attendance at the Lonestar Amphitheater.

While we didn't catch the name of the song, P.O.D. frontman Sonny Sandoval told fans they'd be hearing it on the radio soon.

In an interview with me on The Midday Meltdown last week, guitarist Marcos Curiel promised the band's new single would hit the airwaves in May. He also let slip the name of P.O.D.'s new record: The Awakening.

After the band's stellar showing at the Birthday Bash, it's safe to say fans are even more excited to hear some new P.O.D. tunes.
