Powerman 5000 are on their way back with their latest disc, New Wave, and they've teamed up with Loudwire to bring you the exclusive premiere of their video for "Sid Vicious in a Dress."

As you might gather from the title, the subject of the clip is a woman who is every bit as chaotic as the onetime Sex Pistols bassist. The video finds the band performing in a graffiti-filled punk club when a bottle-swigging blonde enters ready to create havoc, including an assault on singer Spider One himself.

The frontman tells us, “Visually, I wanted the video to feel like we stepped back in time, got transported back to the Rathskeller in Boston or CBGBs. Basically a dirty, smelly claustrophobic mess.”

“Over the years, Sid Vicious has become the poster child for chaos and destruction. The video takes that concept and manifests it into the form of a beautiful girl. The title sort of says it all,” adds the vocalist. “Conceptually, it was very important to not to let this video become a typical rock n roll bad girl cliche video. This is not a lap dance video, this is violence!”

"Sid Vicious in a Dress" is the lead single off Powerman 5000's New Wave album, which is due Oct. 27 via Pavement Music. You can currently pre-order the album via Amazon and iTunes, or get the disc in physical bundle formats via the group's webstore.
