Prophets of Rage, the band that features Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord and Cypress Hill’s B-Real, played their second ever gig earlier this month at the Hollywood Palladium. They have now released the live video of their June 3 performance of the Rage Against the Machine song "Killing in the Name" that you can check out in the player above.

Prophets of Rage are also planning to record the song "The Party's Over" that they have been playing live. Morello tells Billboard that they "hope to get down and make [the song] great before we rock the RNC." That's the Republican National Convention in Cleveland next month.

"It’s not a coincidence we’ll probably be opening the show with it," Morello reveals. "The one positive signal of this election cycle is the rejection from right-winger, independent and left-wingers of business as usual. And it’s understanding that the two-party system as it currently exists is just totally messed up and does not meet the needs of the people or the planet."

Morello continues, "And yes, there’s a racist demagogue heading up one wing of it. But in my opinion, a lot of the underlying frustrations of Trump supporters are not things we disagree with. They hate the fact jobs are being sent overseas 'cause that makes Wall Street more money, they hate the fact that politicians are controlled by a corporatist cabal -- those are things we get behind as well. So this is music that I think, in some ways -- while there is certainly an unapologetic political bent to it -- there’s no political litmus test to getting down with Prophets of Rage."

In addition to the one-off show in Cleveland on July 19, Prophets of Rage also have a tour that starts in August.  The "Make America Rage Again" tour features AWOLNATION as direct support at shows, while Tim Commerford's other band, Wakrat, will open dates. The tour kicks off Aug. 19 in Fairfax, Va.
