Metallica's new album Hardwired...to Self-Destruct releases this Friday (Nov. 18), and knowing many of you super fans you'll want it as soon as the clock strikes midnight.

Local record store Ralph's Records is not only staying open for fans, but is also throwing a midnight release party for the highly anticipated album.

We survived, somehow, through St. Anger together. Why not come together for the joyous occasion of an album that promises to be the Metallica we know and love? The first single "Hardwired" is hard, fast and LOUD. It's perfect.

My dear friend Chris works at Ralph's Records and gave me some inside info about the party.

"We are doing giveaways. Chop Chop is bringing free food, and apparently we'll be giving away tickets to the 'Discover the Dinosaurs.' There will be a giveaway for a Ride The Lightning or Kill Em All deluxe box set. Posters, stickers, slip mats and other goodies," he said.

Plan to arrive around 10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 to catch the giveaways, food and camaraderie from all your denim-vested friends (I say that with so much love). Ralph's Records is located at 3322 82nd Street.
