Six runs in the first and five runs in the third certainly help your team's odds, and that's exactly what happened for the Texas Rangers on Monday night in Arlington, as the home team earned a 12-9 victory over the Houston Astros.

Fans who trekked to Globe Life Park on the work week's first day certainly got a treat to the tune of 21 combined runs between both teams.

Carlos Correa got the hit party started with a two-run blast to put the Astros on top 2-0 in the first frame of the game. The Rangers shot back, and in a hurry.

Lance McCullers, starter for the 'Stros, was pelted with all kinds of bruising hits, to the tune of six runs in the first inning for the Rangers. Mike Fiers later came in making his debut for the Astros, yet another five runs were tacked on in the third inning.

If tonight was any indication of what to expect tomorrow night and Wednesday, sign me up for seeing these games...
