Feel that? If you're listening to the new Red Hot Chili Peppers song "We Turn Red" in the player above, you're getting a healthy dose of driving percussion and funky guitar and bass licks.

"We Turn Red" is the third new song to arrive off the band's forthcoming album The Getaway, following on the heels of the single "Dark Necessities" and the album's title track. As you can hear, Chad Smith's percussive abilities come to the forefront in the song, while bassist Flea and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer follow along with their ultimate funk filled licks. But when the song hits the chorus, everything pulls back to allow Anthony Kiedis' melodic vocals to take over.

The Getaway is on track for a June 17 street date via Warner Bros. The band worked on the album with producer Danger Mouse. You can currently pre-order the disc in a variety of options at this location. "We Turn Red" will be available as one of the album's instant grat tracks beginning at midnight local time tonight.

Look for Red Hot Chili Peppers on tour. The band is currently in the midst of European festival season, and they'll hop over into Russia for some dates early next month as well before returning to North America for the Osheaga and Lollapalooza festivals. The return won't last long as they'll immediately head back to Europe after Lollapalooza. See all of their dates here.
