After falling to the Cardinals twice in a row, once at home and once in St. Louis, Boston made it a point to tie up the World Series on Sunday night, and they did just that.

After Carlos Beltran batted in Matt Carpenter in the third to give the Cardinals an early 1-0 lead, Stephen Drew hit a sacrifice fly to left to propel David Ortiz to the plate to even the score at 1 later in the fifth. Jonny Gomes blasted a three-run shot later the next inning to give the Red Sox the lead 4-1. Matt Carpenter knocked Shane Robinson in later in the seventh, but the Cardinals couldn't produce much else and ended up falling 4-2.

With another game at Busch Stadium coming up tonight, the series is brand new at 2 apiece and we know for sure that the series will travel back to Boston on Wednesday before its conclusion.

Stay tuned.
