Lubbock Police late Friday morning issued an update in the missing person case involving Linda Gail Wilhite.

LPD Detectives believe that Wilhite may have suffered serious injuries as part of her disappearance. Members of her family have not been cooperative with police during the investigation.

The 67-year-old Wilhite was last seen at her home on Tuesday, August 16 in the 6100 block of 28th Street. Blood was found in her home when police first searched it a week-and-half-ago.

According to information previously released by the LPD, her medications were still in the residence, and at that time the family informed officers that she would never leave without her medications.

On Thursday, August 18, 2016, Whilhite's vehicle, a tan 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe, was found in the area of 81st Street and Cedar Avenue.

A Crime Line reward of $2,000 is being offered if information is provided that leads to the recovery of Linda Gail Wilhite. You can contact the Crime Line at 806-741-1000.
