Rock And Roll Manifesto, AKA Phil Anselmo Reads AC/DC [VIDEOS]

This is kind of a genius idea. Apparently this was produced by some German Magazine called “Vision”. In the video Phil Anselmo of Pantera, Down, Superjoint Ritual and others just does a solemn reading. That “reading” is the first verse of an AC/DC song. More after the jump.

AC/DC’s “It’s A Long Way To The Top If You Want To Rock And Roll” almost sounds joyous when the band performs it.  When you actually take the words in though, it’s really kind of gritty.  This performance of the lyrics over a maudlin bed and interspersed with clips and violent images really brings the song new meaning.
