Yep, I'm bringing this one up again.  Most pits are fun to watch and for a lot of people they are fun to be in.  There's one major problem with mosh pits though-the thousands and thousands of people who can't get close to see their favorite bands because you want to mosh.  More after the jump.

Mosh pits are an ego thing. It's young males acting aggressive and thinking they are the center of attention.  That's it, that is all.  Very few females ever engage in moshing and you never see mosh pits at the 'back' of a concert, now do you?  Now, I know the mind set of these pitters..there first reaction is always, 'if you don't like mosh pits, you're a pu##y'.  No, I don't really care either way but I don't get into pits because I don't want your parents suing me because my 250 pounds just punched a hole through your head.  So, like I said, I don't really care about them at all, except it makes it tough for people who aren't in them to see the show.  It does beg the question though, why did you pay to "see" a band if you're not really even going to look at the stage?

I think it's important to note that many of our listeners went to see Slipknot in Dallas.  Guess what?  No moshing, no crowd surfing and it was strictly enforced.  I'm starting to wonder if we're a little behind the times here.  Anyways, I'd love to hear some responses to this one: Should Mosh Pits Be Banned?
