Rooster’s Arcade Flashback, Mortal Kombat [VIDEO/NSFW]

When it comes to video games, Mortal Kombat is at the top of most peoples list of all time favorites.

Mortal Kombat was released in 1992 and it was the first time in a convenient store that I was introduced to what would be one of my all time favorite video games.

Not only had I never seen a button configuration like this before but I was amazed at how much gore was in this game. And to mention the 5 button control which featured a block, high punch, low punch, high kick and low kick. That was insane at the time and you had enough quarters you could be one of the master's of Mortal Kombat.

The game featured 7 fighters which included, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Kano, Sub Zero, Scorpion, and Raiden.

We all had our favorite characters in the series, which mine being Johnny Cage and Scorpion. The series would go on to feature several more games and movies that would staple Mortal Kombat on the top of the video gaming world.

The best part of the Mortal Kombat series is the "fatalities" which as the years went on would get more and more outrageous. Relive the the original Mortal Kombat with me and meet me up for a challenge anytime.
