San Francisco 49er Seeks Name Change

Well, folks, Mr. Whitner would like to drop the W on his last name and go by "Hitner". I have to say I find this whole story pretty comical. I honestly can't tell if the guy is serious, though he says he definitely is.

Of course, the young man asked for his mother's approval (which was granted) before making any changes, but still, did she also not realize how close it sounds to Hitler?!

Then, as if it couldn't get any better, the player is making arrangements for having a T-shirt that says "#LegalHitner" due to his disgruntled attitude with the NFL and questionable fines for hard hits.

Say what you will about the guy, but this is just great.
