I don't even know what I hope to achieve by writing this down, but I have to get it off my back. I'll warn you right now that I'm going to use some very frank language in this blog because I'm still a little steamed.

Saturday, myself and two friends made our way over to Genghis Grill.  I hate to even mention the name of the place, but the layout is kind of important to the story.

When you go to Genghis Grill, you are seated, then a waiter or waitress takes your drink orders and finds out whether you want to order off the menu or do the 'build your own bowl' thing.

When you get to the build your own bowl line, there's a person there to explain to you how everything works and to answer questions. From there, you load up and take your stuff to the chefs who then cook it up for your waiter or waitress to bring it to you. During your meal a member of management will usually make sure everything is cool.

In short, they have an EXTREMELY attentive staff.

We had just made it past the beginning of the build your own bowl  part (there's like four or five sections to go through) when a customer comes up behind us and starts barking at the girl who was there to answer questions.

It was just SO obvious he was being a huge dick. I thought to myself, 'if this guy says one more thing, I'm calling him out.'

Fortunately, we started speeding through the stations and I put some distance between the guy and us. Since it was 4 p.m., there was hardly anyone in the place and I'm feeling a little upset with myself that I didn't tell this guy to take it down a notch.

So I'm watching this guy and every time his waitress gets near his table he starts barking at her, all red-faced and angry looking. In addition, he's scowling and making faces every time she goes to do or get whatever he's asking for.

Then he did the absolutely crappiest thing of all.

After he was done, he went up and started talking to the manager, but he wasn't barking at the manager. He wasn't red-faced and loud. No, this little weasel put on his calm, cool and collected act and talked to the manager about his experience for about five minutes.

This completely pissed me off that this guy would put on an act to get the waitress in trouble. Still, I couldn't overhear the conversation, so I didn't want to jump right in.

The manager listened attentively and finally gave the guy a business card or comment card of some kind and the guy left.

I just couldn't stand it anymore. Since the manager had went to the back, I called the bartender over and said, "listen, I don't know what, if anything, is going on, but that guy that just talked to your manager was an a--hole since the minute he hit the door and I personally wanted to bitch slap him."

I asked him to please tell the manager that somebody had stepped on that guy's d-ck before he entered the building and he was here to take it out on everybody.

So that's my story. And what's the moral? I guess the moral is, there is no reason to take your bad attitude out on someone else, and if you do, it's just a matter of time before someone like me catches you in your lies.

That poor waitress didn't deserve a butt chewing, and when a customer talks to a manager like that the end result is often that someone gets fired.

It's important that you speak up when you see something like this happening.

Oh, and by the way, Genghis Grill is EXCELLENT. I'm a new convert.
