The Panhandle South Plains Fair has come and gone, and as usual the week of the fair more or less ushered in the change from summer to fall with cooler weather and rain.

From here on, time will fly as we all start looking forward to great fall traditions...Football.

But if you're trying to keep the lady in your life happy so you can watch more football, be sure to make a date with her to go to the Seventh Annual Pumpkin Trail.

This really is a great date night event and a fun family event that just keeps growing every year.

This year's trail will kick off Thursday, October 15 and run through Sunday, October 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. nightly. The event boasts over 1,500 carved pumpkins lining the paths of the Lubbock Arboretum located on 40th and University.

As always, this event is free to the public, but donations are appreciated.
