Wes is part of the Rock Show. He is also one of the owners of “Nightmare On 19th Street”. He occasionally picks up a bass guitar and beats on it like a monkey trying to get ants out of stick. Likes Tattoos. Hates Christmas. Orphans in cute hats tick him off. Wes does his solo show on Saturday mornings that way only hungover guys and girls shopping to replace missing underwear listen to him.

So the Heathen and I went to our local "Laredo Taco Company" inside Stripes. At this point I have to tell you that no, I'm not getting paid by Stripes to write this, and HELLS YES those two dollar tacos rock (although I don't know why they call burritos "tacos", I still don't get that). The trailer for the new Metallica movie has dropped. It reminds me a bit of Led Zeppelin's "The Song Remains The Same" but instead of there just being drama vignettes, there is some kind of full on story going on alongside the concert footage. I'm not much of a comic book geek, but I think I'm on board for this one. Making Superman into a movie has a always been a problem. Basically you have a goody-goody guy who can't be killed, so where's the drama? Well this time around apparently the drama will come from General Zod, who is the main "voice" in this trailer. My quest to NOT watch Game of Thrones this year is nearly complete. I did look up long enough to see Daenerys Targaryen get out of the bathtub naked. Evidently Dave Grohl is trying to jam with EVERYONE. Seriously this guy pops up on a more consistent basis than herpes. After doing the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame thing and playing dressed as Rush, he jammed with the stones. I have videos of both for you. More after the jump.
I just got off the phone with the promoter and was informed there is still not an opening act for Guns N' Roses. I was also told that that's how it frequently happens on their headline dates. An opener may be announced just days before the show, and there's always the possibility there won't be one. With G N' R shows sometimes stretching into the 3 hour range, we don't think it's a huge deal either. All we can say is with this this hot weather, it's a good thing that Guns doesn't play until later into the night. More after the jump.

Saturday Night Live seems to be on it's last legs, once again. Yep, the show has a habit of bouncing back, but this is a really big loss to the show. Rather than any misty eyed or even snotty farewell, the three leaving cast members sang an original song as "Ian Rubbish and his band". More after the jump.
