Joining Slash at Barefoot Recording in Hollywood, California, is vocalist Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge, Todd Kearns on bass, guitarist Bobby Schneck and one-time Theory of a Deadman drummer Brent Fitz.

According to Slash, the band has three tunes ready to roll, and thirteen more tracks ready to record. The plan is to have at least twelve tracks on the new record, plus six bonus tracks.

Slash states that the new stuff will be much heavier than his first solo release, with a more unified sound. The three songs in the can are: "Halo," "Bad Rain" and "Standing in the Sun."
