Slaton Air Show Takes Flight On Saturday

Look mom, there's a small plane up in the sky... If you saw the big "smiley face' over the Hub City today, it was to promote the biennial Slaton Airshow.

The 2013 Slaton Airshow will feature the B-25, replica Japanese fighter planes and the Vipor Airshows jet-powered police car called Ms. D'Meanor which can reach speeds up to 300 mph.

Gates open at 9 a.m. and the featured aircraft will take flight at noon.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 5-12 and free for the youngsters

Take to the skies on the vintage Yellow Rose for $395 after the airshow on Saturday.
