Looks like Slayer have infiltrated primetime television! Not with a performance, unfortunately, but the thrash legends showed up as an answer on yesterday’s (Oct. 5) episode of Jeopardy.

Jeopardy has actually shown a lot of love to metal throughout the years. In 2014, a question about Dave Mustaine collaborating with the San Diego Symphony appeared on the show. The year before, Anthrax was featured as a $1,000 answer — “This Fistful of Metal band was named after a disease.” Metallica also showed up on a 2013 episode of Jeopardy, with a query about being the first band to perform on all seven continents.

That just leaves one Big Four band left for some Jeopardy love, and strangely enough, Slayer’s mention came in a question about thrash’s Big Four. The classic blue screen read, “The Big 4 of thrash metal are Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth & this quartet with a murderous name.”

The moment was captured by a couple of metalheads and shared on social media:

According to The PRP, the question was answered correctly by one of the contestants, so well done!
