Get ready for some traffic nightmares in the name of progress.  Our friends at the Texas Department Of Transportation have announced upgrades to Slide Road beginning Monday.

This is "like" a road in Lubbock except it doesn't have holes in it and the people on this one probably use their blinkers.

98th to FM 1585 is currently a two lane highway also known as FM 1730.  This little monster is about to hulk out to a seven layer beast. Storm sewers and even some widening of 1585 itself will be a part of the project.

Officials say that if you take this road, it is possible that you will get old and die in your car waiting for the traffic to let up.  Okay, they didn't say that exactly, they did say to expect slow moving traffic and possible delays. They also recommend that you take alternate routes whenever you can. The expected completion date is "2015".  Kind of vague huh?  Anyways, take it slow for our friends with Tex-Dot.

This all brings up a pretty obvious question, what roads do you think also need to be bigger or re-done?
