There is a difference between a haboob and a dust storm. Haboob is an Arabic word. So is the word cotton (and coffee, and on and on).

I am seriously ready for some old and ignorant people to die. It's time for these backward-leaning closeted racist old farts to cash it in. Either get with the times, or stay out of the business of folks who have a little education and/or worldliness.

The National Weather Service commented that we had a haboob the other day, and a bunch of idiot West Texans crapped their Depends©. These morons objected to both the use of an Arabic word and the scientific definition of a haboob (versus a dust storm). So The Washington Post rightfully called them out.

P.S. While we're correcting things, the pronunciation is actually 'ha-BOOB,' not 'hay-boob.' I was stressing the "HAY" in the video above to emphasize how some of the hicks around here talk.
