Sons of Texas Kick Off Big Purple Party in Style [Photos]

Sons of Texas is a Texas-made band (obviously) that has just made it onto the scene, but that doesn't mean they don't kick ass. And that's just what they did Tuesday afternoon at the Big Purple Party.

The band's song "Baptized in the Rio Grande" is a new favorite of mine, and these dudes simply nailed it live. There's nothing quite like seeing a new band that's hungry and willing to make a name for themselves get up and let it all loose.

I certainly am looking forward to having these guys back in the Hub City very, very soon.
