We're not even wrapped up with 2017 yet and next year is already heating up, especially now that tribal groove punishers Soulfly and Egyptian-themed death merchants Nile are readying a co-headlining U.S. tour dubbed "From the Amazon to the Nile."

The trek comes at an interesting time as Soulfly are expected to be issuing a new album in 2018, while Nile are winding down the touring cycle behind 2015's What Should Not Be Unearthed. The year also marks the 20th anniversary of each band's debut record, so there could be some surprises in store. It all starts on April 17 in Louisville, Ky. and will finish up over one month later in Houston, Texas after circling the country. See a list of all stops below.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Nile fans in the States a last round of touring supporting the What Should Not be Unearthed album. Teaming up with Soulfly is going to make for a killer package sure to please metal fans," comments Nile frontman Karl Sanders. "2018 coincidentally also happens to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka release, so we are likely going to playing some not-heard-in-years material from that classic recording as well as fan favorites from our entire catalog and, of course, tracks from our latest release, What Should Not be Unearthed. Metal will take place!"

Max Cavalera was a bit more terse, sharing his excitement by adding, "From the Amazon to the Nile, it’s gonna rage!”

Tickets for select shows are on sale now at this location and the remainder of the gigs will go on sale on Friday (Nov. 17) at 10AM local time.
