This is one of those annual traditions that I just can't get enough of.

Yeah, I'm a crazy sausage eating fool. The sausage from St. Joseph's is a delicious, what I'd call "coarse grind". You can munch on site or buy it to go. I recommend that you do both.

On Saturday, October 21st from 8-1 you can get your sausage by the pound (regular $5.50, Jalapeno $6.00 and Habanero for $6.50).  Then it's the Oktoberfest celebration from 4-11 with German Beer, Wine and Food Trucks (I hope they'll have sausage). They'll also have live music from Hog Maulies, Daniel Cadra, Mike Joiner Band, Dave Martinez and Casey Heckman. There's a $10 cover for the celebration.

On Sunday the 22nd it's straight up Sausagefest & Funfest from 11 to 3.

The event takes place at 21st & Division in Slaton.

You can check out the official Facebook page here.
