I've sat through very few concert films in my life. For me, concerts are generally about the energy of the experience. With Mad Season, the art and emotion is so intense, it carried the film in such a way that I couldn't turn it off. Finally a clean copy of the film is available and I have the best know song for you after the jump.

I've been running back some of my favorite 90's tracks on the Flannel Channel. It's really just an extension of a feature that the RockShow ran for a couple of years. You may have never even have heard the feature because we did it each morning at 5:40 and before that at 5:10. It's time for some "learnin'" and "educatin'", it's "The Flannel Channel". If you're a fan of comedies you've probably heard this song a dozen times. This song was pretty much the main theme to the Jim Carey comedy "Dumb & Dumber". Pete Droge didn't just come along the same time as grunge, he was also from Washington State like many grunge pioneers. Even with all that cred, Droge's song comes off as bright and shinny despite the dark subject matter. Check out the video after the jump:

Some of you have no freakin' idea how POWERFUL Pearl Jam was at their peak. They've mellowed and grown older gracefully, but in their day there was no better band on stage. This video shows a baby faced Eddie Vedder belting out the classic and later beating the holy hell out of the stage with his mic stand. This is pure energy and aggression. Check out this video and you'll see why, for a short period of time, Pearl Jam ruled the world.

Welcome to "The Flannel Channel." I thought I'd write a small series of blogs with videos of some "forgotten" favorites from the 90's.

Dust For Life's 'Step Into The Light' would probably still rate as one of my top ten songs of the nineties (if I ever get around to making that list). Now, even though it was one of my favorites of the decade, it really didn't even make a giant splash then. I did, however, get the opportunity to see them live and they were as good on stage as anybody else from the era.
