The average gas price in Lubbock is $2.32, one cent more than last week but also five cents less than the current state average of $2.37.

With an average price of $2.23, Lubbock is trending 4 cents less than the state average. Some local gas stations even have gas as low as $2.09 per gallon.

For the first time since October, the statewide average price for gas went up week-to-week, according to AAA Texas.

Spokeswoman Christi Craddick took to social media this week to ask Texans to remain calm and not perpetuate rumors of a statewide gas shortage after Harvey.
