Courtney Love: Muppets ‘Raped’ Memory of Kurt Cobain With ‘Teen Spirit’ Cover

Look out Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. Courtney Love is on the warpath. According to TMZ, the latest claim out of Love is that the Muppets “raped” the memory of her husband, the late Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, with the way the plush puppets handled his signature song ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ in the 2011 film. Furthermore, Court claims that the powers-that-be- used the song without her permission.

Flannel Channel: Mad Season Live At The Moore And More [VIDEO]

This is one of my favorite concert films ever. It's not the best quality, but when I first got to see it, it was a bootleg as well. It's worth the wonky quality to just see all of this legendary talent kick it out on stage.  For those of you not in the know, the band was basically known for having Layne Staley of Alice in Chains on vocals and Mike McCreedy of Pearl Jam on guitar. Not to be dismissed are the contributions of Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin and Bassist John Baker Saunders (and occasional backup vocals from Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees).  More after the jump.

Flannel Channel: Pearl Jam’s “Alive” Live (VIDEO)

Some of you have no freakin' idea how POWERFUL Pearl Jam was at their peak. They've mellowed and grown older gracefully, but in their day there was no better band on stage. This video shows a baby faced Eddie Vedder belting out the classic and later beating the holy hell out of the stage with his mic stand. This is pure energy and aggression. Check out this video and you'll see why, for a short period of time, Pearl Jam ruled the world.
