Even then, the City council (I wish I could replace that “C” with a “Sh”) voted a ridiculous “ban” on synthetic marijuana. It was mass chaos this morning as Lubbock drivers responded to some slight weather changes by driving like morons. The RockShow was hit with a ton of reports this morning varying from a seven car pileup on I-27 to accidents on the Loop & Marsha Sharp, a rollover onto the golf course and 98th and Quaker, and other mishaps elsewhere across the Hub. Lubbock Bans Synthetic Marijuna

The city council (without the mayor) has officially decided to waste our time and tax dollars on an almost unenforceable ban on synthetic marijuana. Those who sell the substance already have other formula's ready to go. Even the council acknowledged that this product is a moving target and one councilperson actually suggested they review the ban (to included variations) every six months to a year. *Facepalm*

Lubbock was in a hell of mess before Tom Mayor took over. The mayor before him was nuttier than an elephant turd and Lubbock was a sinking ship. The city council voted to end "mandatory" rebates from city owned Lubbock Power and Light. Let's get one thing straight, these 'rebates' would not have made anyone rich. In fact, I think the reason they changed the wording to "may" rebate from "mandatory" was that the amount was so small this year. The problem is, why even use a word like "mandatory" if it can just be stricken so easily.

I have this theory and in fact, I think it's more fact that theory, and that's a fact. What? Okay, anyways here goes: The reason drivers are so bad in Lubbock is that they are from all the surrounding small towns where they don't get much excuse for what we call "traffic". Expanding on that theory and/or fact: during the weekends, Lubbock is overwhelmed with people visiting from small towns who are doing their shopping, therefore the driving conditions are even worse.
