This is a tough one. Heathen feels like 'pits' aren't what they used to be. He thinks it was healthy aggression and everyone was cool with everyone, then bullies started stepping in just to hurt people. Myself, I think pits are a bit rude. To me, pits ruin the concert experience for the people who don't want to a part of it. If there was a designated "pit" area, I wouldn't really have a problem with it. Some will say that "front of the stage" IS the designated pit area, but that's bullsh!t. There's some people, especially girls, who want to see the band. The 80's SUCKED for rock. There were a few highlights (Appetite for Destruction, Back In Black) but for the most part it was synthesizers and MTV hair band crap.
