These days if you ask a kid who their hero's are most of them will give you the name of an athlete, or an actor, or maybe a singer. Unless of course a parent or family member is in one of the branches of the U.S Armed Forces, then they seem to have a better understanding of what a hero is.
The petition to allow Texas to "peacefully secede" from the Union has been responded to and denied. It will go down in history with the other stupid petitions for "the U.S. to build a death star" and "to nationalize the Twinkie". In my opinion this will go down as one of the stupidest and most dishonorable things my fellow Texans have ever attempted or even suggested. More after the jump.
