May 11th was the date of the Lubbock Tornado. May 11th the Dirt City may be hit by an old school southern rock tornado. ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd have mounted a co-headlining tour and are scheduled in Lubbock on that date. Could it be a "Tornado Jam? No way. It's not the "Tornado Jam" unless Joe Ely and the Maines Brothers are there, and there is "a jam". Let's settle for a night of hearing "Freebird" and "Tush" in the same night and not try to rewrite history here. Check out the videos after the jump.

Texas Tech Jeans

Texas Tech will make an ass of itself very soon. The Plains Cotton Cooperative has announced a new line of "game day jeans". But Tech isn't the only school represented. Officials made the following statement:
"Our initial offering will bear the logos of Auburn University, Texas Tech University and the University of Alabama, and they should be available in early- to mid-February”
via PCCA Introduces GAMEDAY Jeans for University Students, Alumni and Fans - Plains Cotton Cooperative Association.
